I have never explore the restaurant in Langkawi. I have been here for 4 months n I rarely eat out. So today we went to a weird looking restaurant near the apartment. The restaurant is beside this humongous sewage drain. Not that it surprise me.
The dirtier the food, the better the food. If you believe that!
This place a have weird deco. Everything is huge, that includes the menu too. But when Gary was holding it, it did not look that big. Hmmmm… but I am a petite creature.
The food wasn’t to shout abt. I do think the small potion we order is actually medium portion at some restaurant.
I wonder how are they making profit but it is value worth for the customer.

Evo New Found Addiction

I have never ate fried quail eggs. I do eat quail eggs but it wld be inside Leng Chi Kang not fried like sunny side up with soya sauce. This is my new found addiction.

Month End Latte

My so excited that my hubby is coming to town. Happily, I head up to the airport to pick him up. I was all jitters and to calm myself, I rely on the good ole green tea latte. Nay! I wasn’t in jitter cos he was coming. It was more to the fact that my colleague will see him. Everyone thinks I married an old guy or rather some mingger. They are shock to see me hubby. Either that, or I am mingger so they think I could snatch a good looking Geordie. Whatever! Back to green tea latte. I just got it cos I just wanted it and cld not find a reason to splurge on a green tea latte at month end.

Clown on board

My journey back to Langkawi from KL was an exciting journey. First I almost miss my train. I have no idea what is the crack with me. I always seems to either miss the plan or train each time on my way back to Langkawi. Maybe subconsciously I do not wanna be back in Langkawi. Whatever, I have chosen to stay in Langkawi so in Langkawi I shall grow roots. Brave statement. For those who know me, will know I move around after a few years.

Anyway, I took a train back. Chaos from KL Sentral till departure. It was a relief to board the train. However, my relief was short live. I was in the wrong bunk. It was so freaking embarrassing. The ticket checker came knocking on my bunk and I was half asleep. Imagine the state I am in, half asleep hand over my ticket, than I was told I was in the wrong bunk. I freak out! How on earth can I be in the wrong bunk! The ticket checker wasn’t sympathetic at all. He refuses to hand over my ticket until I was safely tucked in my bunk. I carry my 40kg bag all the way to the centre of the aisle, by this time I have just work the whole carriage of sleepyhead. They saw me walk down the aisle of shame… sigh!

Peacock

At long last I actually walk in to Peacock in Bangsar. Just as I expected, everything is the same as Peacock in North Shields. Cater for chavvies!

The only different is that Peacock Malaysia in locate in Bangsar which everyone consider the ‘in place’ in KL and the price. Freaking! Crazy expensive for Peacock.

Delicious

I cannot believe I actually sat at Delicious for 2.5hours! I despise the place. It just represent skinny young yuppies. Oh! Bitchy too. So I rename Delicious as Skinny Bitchy Yuppies Gossip Centre. Maybe I am jealous? They can eat all the nice looking dessert and never ever put an ounce on their body. ARGH! Make me sick.

I know is not true. Those skinny bitches just order nice looking desert and poke at the dessert until it crumbles and resembles that they have ate the dessert. I guess that the secret staying thin and yet showing to the world you are eating.

Anyway, Ayeshah and Cath demolish whatever they ordered. I am glad all me mates do knows how to enjoy food esp dessert.

Same ole same ole!

I always end up ordering the same thing from Korean restaurant. I can never make myself to order something else. I will order different dish if I was in Amcorp’s Korean Restaurant but it still the usual dish I order there.

I wonder is a habit or fear or trying something new.

Saisaki

I am so glad to be in KL. I get to meet all my friends and delicious food. At last I can pig out at the buffet. Since i came to Langkawi, strictly no buffet at all or Japanese food. I spend the whole week salivating over food in Saisaki. I just love that restaurant. I can never get sick of it until this trip back to KL.

I was so eager to dive in and eat everything I could but my belly decided not to corporate with my heart desire. Belly decided to corporate with taste bud so I end up not really enjoying the taste. I blame it on the hotel food that I have everyday. Even I don’t get the gourmet food in hotel but the thought of hotel food just put me off. Anyway, I had enjoyable time with me friends.

Deceiving Door Gift

I could I am adventurous and a curios person. When I was younger, I always wonder the taste of cat food. So one day I ended up tasting cat’s food. I don’t really remember the taste now. I guess habit dies hard, last week after Haniza engagement, I lick the floor on her door gift. My aunt told me it was icing and it will attract ants. But it smells so good and it never ever crosses my mind that it was soap. So I actually lick and the rest was history. I felt like a dope cos my aunt told me she could tell it was a soap craving from the smell. Till today I am puzzle as to the reason I decided to lick it. I dun even like pinky stuff or sweet stuff so I cannot claim that the colour attracts me. I am just going to put it down as pure stupidity.

Haniza Engagement 2

More pictures of her engagement. Look at all the yummy cakes and chocolate. They are too pretty to eat. Anyway, did u realised everything is in 5's! hmmm.... I was told is it signifies the number of kids she is going to have. Phew! lucky she is the one having 5 kids and not me.

Haniza Engagement

Anyway, this is my first malay engagement I have been too. Nothing special other than the fiance aren't allow to be at the engagement. His mum wld be the one to give the ring away.

I was telling Haniza, wat is the point getting engage when one isn't allow to attend one own engagement. Is no fun!

I guess every culture have its own rule.

I am glad, I went to KL for Haniza engagement despite the fact, it was in Semenyih and on the way back Ayeshah and I got lose in 'cowboy town' (Cheras).

I dun think I will ever see Haniza in pink again or wearing fake lashes. She might wear fake lashes during her wedding but not pink again.

Food for night shift

I rely on this food to keep me awake. Green tea for the caffein and chicken essence ... Ok i admit I am vain. The chicken essence is more health & beauty purpose. Chicken essence suppose to help with the 'chi' in a person. Well, is all the chinese herbs idealogy but I am going to follow it cos I ain't getting any younger. I am sure I do not wanna look older than my age. Most of you will agree I look younger than my age but I am not going to tempt with night shift fate. It can really age someone.

Here I thought another day of working esp on NYE, nothing special is going to happen other than fireworks going off and druken gst fall into pool until i received a MMS. I have a shock. I received a MMS fr my aunt... It is a shock cos she isn't that mobile savvy. Anyway, I am glad i receive the MMS. Look at my 2 cuz wishing me 'Happy New Year'.

Big Apple

One McD, 3 KFC, No Burger King, No Pizza Hut, No Dominos but 2 Big Apple!why would islander need 2 donut shop. The kuih-kuih sld be sufficient to satisfied anyone sweet tooth!
They cld have a krispy kreme and a big apple. Why have 2 big apple. Is not that the donut taste any nicer than dunkin donuts.

Beer in Plastic

The last time i was serve beer/alcohol in a plastic cup was 2003. Way back in Uni where I puke me guts out most of Monday night!
Considering I had this Beer in Cenang in a hippie place, I think it is appropriate. On second thought isn't Hippie suppose to be all abt environment? Beats me!

Ayam Tanah Liat

The kitchen cook this dish twice a week for us hotelier. Me mate, nickname it Ayam Tanah Liat. Considering its colour I wld not fault the name and the taste too. I have not tasted Tanah Liat but I am sure it taste the same as this dish!

1st Pizza in Langkawi

Not great but edible. Same as the Kebab shop pizza in North Shields. Begger can't be chooser.
