Things I do on my off day in Langkawi

My first pay check in Langkawi!

This I wat I bought with my first pay cheque in Langkawi. Well this is the best i can do with ltd shopping in Langkawi.

My First Wedding!

I have succefully organised my first wedding. Well! I did not do it by myself. My boss make sure everything is ordered before she left. I just need to call and chase everyone on the day. Co-ordinate hsekeeping, engineering n F & B. I cld not say there is no hiccup.

Engineering - asshole.... their HOD and asst HOD wasn't around so they ignore my request for CD player until my asst mng called their HOD. LOL! Cos of them, the ceremony was delayed by 25min.

Florist fr hell issues!

Other than that I wld say it is succesful.

Florist fr HELL!

I cld not believe! Mad florist wanted to removed my arch in the middle of wedding ceremony cos Florist B's driver accidentally took mad florist arch for our wedding deco! Obviously, I told her off and was label rude after that. I DO NOT think it is even right for her to step into the hotel premises while wedding is going on. It is not even her function. If i was fucking rude i wld have her removed fr the property. Mad florist cld not get it into her skull that is between her and Florist B nothing to do with us. We only hired Florist B to do the deco. WE ARE THE CLIENT!

I think all the hotel sld be aware of this mad florist! No one sld ever order any flower fr her.

Vanity does cost!

After years of avoiding the dentist. 7 yrs to be exact, I decided to brave myself and march in to the dental. It was horrible! 5 yrs waiting time. Imagine, 5 hrs listening to the drilling sound. When it is my turn, I was told I have 10 holes to be filled. I told myself to be calm. If Dr Eng manage to do it 7 yrs ago this dentist wld be ok. She came highly recomended. PHEW! It did not turn out well. she did scalling before filling my teeth so after scalling my gums was bleeding n swollen so she cld fill my teeth. ARGH! 5 hrs of WAIT! Unprofessional!

Anyway after 6 hrs, I am still in pain and i can't eat. Just for scalling, I can't eat. Imagine if she did the filling! I shall never ever go to any dentist in Langkawi!

Look at my food for the day. Disgusting!

It move in 3 days ago and have not move since than.

Raya Haji

One thing abt working in hotel is taht u never get off for public holiday. But u cld always claim it later. Works fine for me. At least i do not need to have off days when I have nothing plan or off days in the middle of the week. I kindda prefer to hotel system, take the Public Holiday on the days you choose. Obviously, there is a limit as to when I sld take my PH. 30 days before or 30 days after. Anyway, I did not know ppl in Langkawi takes Haji so serious. They actually celebrate it like the Raya Puasa. I guess Langkawi is still consider 'Kampung'. Lotsa of hotel donated cow, buffalo and goat for 'sembelih' YES BUFFALO too! I was told if you are rich in Langkawi, u serve buffalo during wedding to ur guest. YUCKS eating buffalo! Anyway, it wld have been class to be taking pic during the 'sembelih' time. However, I dun think I wld be the one taking pic; I wld be the one pucking my guts out.

Well, I dun have the 'sembelih' pic but i do have some Yummy Raya Haji food brough by me mate at work. Check out the cute lemang.

Work

I just started a new job. I'm sure half of me mate I am mad to move to Langkawi. It is not that bad. I wld not trade my job any job in any place right now. I get to be near the beach and each time i come in to work,I felt like i am in different world. If I work in Kuah than it wld be different. But i am in Tanjung Rhu. The nicest beach in Langkawi!I am an island girl at heart.

Chicken Rice

I just realised i cna never find any chicken rice in Langkawi. Nam Heong. My comfort in Newcastle = Cha Jiang Mien; Malaysia = Chicken Rice. Well! Maggie works but nothing beat boiled chicken rice + ginger + chillie.

Peacock

I cld not believe Peacock is going to be open in Bangsa V.... come it is Peacock! I bet there will be nutter paying ridiculous price for it. It is 1/2 step higher than Primark. NUTTER! WHY BANGSAR!

I am sure some yuppies wld go around claiming they bought their clothes at Peacock, thinking it is a high end brand. Needless to say in NORTH SHIELDS (Newcastle) it consider CHAV clothing line.

Obviously, the next day I had the GIANT HANGOVER and a room full of stuff not pack!But well worth it

Things that I will miss working in KL

My stapple breakfast every morning for the pass 6 months. I am sure the uncle wld wonder where am I.
